A2P Basics
- A2P 10DLC covers SMS/MMS sent through US local numbers. It does not approve voice calls or authorize cold texting.
- +1 480-405-3071 is your current number
- Nobody can guarantee approval. Accurate business details, genuine consent, and a consistent website/application reduce avoidable rejection. Carriers and their registration partners make the decision.
| What to request | Why you need it |

| Registered legal business name | Establish whether the account represents Justin’s actual business |

| Existing rejection notices | Fix the actual issue before resubmitting |
| Workflow inventory, including active triggers | Find automated messages already being sent |
| Lead sources and consent evidence | Establish which contacts can receive which messages |

- Legal business name.
- EIN and business address, matching his IRS records.

- Prepare his website
Before applying, make sure the website has:
- His business name and contact details.
- A Privacy Policy page.
- A Terms and Conditions page covering the SMS program.
- A form where people can agree to receive texts.
The business identity on the website must match the application, including any explained trading name/DBA. help.gohighlevel.com
- Add SMS consent to his contact form
Add a checkbox that is unchecked and optional. People must be able to submit the form without selecting it.
For marketing texts, use wording along these lines, replacing [Business Name]:
I agree to receive automated marketing text messages from [Business Name] about business brokerage services and consultation offers. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help.
Put clickable Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions links beside it.
If he also wants appointment reminders, add a separate optional checkbox for appointment and service-related texts. Save the checkbox selections with the form submission. help.gohighlevel.com
- Open A2P registration in Justin’s GHL
Go to:
Settings → Phone System → Trust Center → A2P Messaging (SMS)

- Register the texting campaign
Continue to Campaign Details, or open:
Trust Center → Brand & Campaigns → Campaigns → Create Campaign
For the website form described above, choose Manual Setup.

| Appointment reminders and promotional follow-ups | An appropriate Mixed option |
For modest texting needs, review the Low Volume Standard option. This is a volume selection, separate from the campaign’s purpose. help.gohighlevel.com
- Fill in the campaign information
Use the following as starting examples. Replace the placeholders and describe only what you have actually implemented.
| Field | What to enter |
| Website | Justin’s working website URL |
| Campaign description | “[Business Name] sends consultation reminders and business brokerage marketing texts to people who opt in through our website. Marketing and appointment messaging permissions are collected separately.” |
| How people opt in | “Visitors complete the form at [exact form URL] and select optional, unchecked SMS consent boxes. The form includes message disclosures and links to our Privacy Policy and Terms. Consent selections are saved with each submission.” |
| Marketing sample | “[Business Name]: Hi [First Name], considering selling your business? Reply to arrange a consultation with Justin. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.” |
| Appointment sample | “[Business Name]: Hi [First Name], your consultation with Justin is booked for [Date] at [Time]. Reply STOP to unsubscribe.” |
The samples, form, and selected campaign purpose must agree. help.gohighlevel.com
- Review, pay, and submit
Check the spelling of the business name, EIN, URLs, and consent details.
Review the fees shown in GHL, then submit. Wait until both the Brand and Campaign are approved. Approval is not guaranteed; if rejected, GHL should show what needs correcting. help.gohighlevel.com
- Connect his phone number
Once approved:
- Go to Settings → Phone System → Phone Numbers.
- Find his GHL sending number.
- Open its three-dot menu.
- Select Select A2P campaign to Link, if it is not already linked.
- Choose the approved campaign.
- Confirm the A2P Verified label appears.
These steps apply to US local numbers. Toll-free numbers have a different verification process. help.gohighlevel.com
- Test before turning on automations
Use your own test contact:
- Submit the form with consent and confirm it is saved.
- Send a test message.
- Reply STOP and confirm further texts are blocked.
- Confirm contacts who leave the checkbox unchecked do not enter SMS workflows.
One essential limitation: A2P approval does not allow Justin to text purchased or scraped lists. His marketing recipients still need to opt in. It also does not approve sales calls; calling setup is separate.
